Outline Plan for 2009 -2010

1. Continuing working with all Train operating companies, and others to have:

• More train services throughout the day
• Better links between Bristol to Cardiff service and the Cardiff to Cheltenham service
• Work toward getting long distance trains to stop
• Improved punctuality and no passengers left waiting for over an hour when a train is cancelled
• Work toward more main line services being restored
  
  2. Continue to work with all stakeholders in providing:
  
  
• More car parking than is currently available
• Better station facilities starting with shelter and travel information, and including access
  
  3. Provide useful statistics, market information, as well as lobbying all authorities, in the pursuance of meeting STAGs aims:
  
  4. To develop off-peak travel and awareness of the benefits of rail travel:
  
  
• Through promotions and press activity
• By increasing involvement with Tourism authorities, Chambers of Commerce, local Schools and others
  
  
  5. Work toward integrated rail transport with bus and coach operators and others:
  
  
• By developing relationships and providing support
• Working closely with Monmouthshire County Council
• And with a view that a coach station, taxi rank, car pick-up point and other facilities will be developed as a critical part of the Park and Ride plan
